Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Nonotuck Community School is committed to issues around diversity, equity, and inclusion and fostering awareness around these issues within our community. Please take a moment to review our school diversity statement.
Family members can join the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee at Nonotuck as part of their coop obligations. Past examples of projects that the committee has taken on include a winter clothing swap, book drive, and participating in local events focused on social justice. The committee strives to have representation from all classrooms and representation from as many backgrounds as possible. The Nonotuck community appreciates learning about different identities through story time. We are committed to incorporating books that celebrate all identities into our curriculum. The committee has worked to ensure this is possible for all children at Nonotuck. Below is a sample of books that have been recently added to the school library in this effort:
