Classrooms

There are five classrooms at Nonotuck, and large indoor play space, an art studio, and our outdoor playgrounds with vegetable garden areas, climbers, sandboxes and lots of play equipment.

Access to the Mill River means that our children spend time learning about this natural resource throughout the year.              

Our program is year-round. Class placement is based on the child’s age by September.

Meadow Room is for children who are 15 months – 24 months old years by September.

Rainforest Room serves children who are between the ages of 2 and 2.11 years old by September. A maximum of 6 children are enrolled during COVID regulations.

Forest Room serves children who are young threes by September. A maximum of 8 children are enrolled during COVID regulations.

River Room  serves children who are  older 3s and young 4s by September. A maximum of 13 children are enrolled during COVID regulations.

Ocean Room serves children who are 4 by September. Children in the class generally go to kindergarten after Nonotuck. A maximum of 14 children are enrolled in this older preschool classroom during COVID regulations.

Children stay in the same classroom from September through August.
